Special Monday puja to appease Lord Shiva

According to Hindu scriptures, puja conducted on Monday appeases Lord Shiva. Every person who seeks Lord Shiva’s blessings should conduct special puja on Monday.
People keep fasts on Monday. But some people can't keep fast. According to scriptures, there are other options for people who cannot fast.
- If you are having conflicts in the family then conduct abhishek with cow's milk.
- If you wish for better jobs and promotion opportunities then conduct abhishek with honey.
- If you are suffering from an illness for a long time then offer holy water to panchmukhi shivling.
- Offering datura or thorn apple to Lord Shiva can help you get rid of family conflicts and get the results you expected.
- It is believed that Lord Shiva loves drinking bhang. Hence, offering bhang with milk will help you get rid of stress and mental problems.
- Monday is also the best time to perform 'kalsarp dosh shanti'.
- If any person is unable to perform the above given rituals then he/she can offer water and bilavpatr. This will help him get rid of your problems.

Why do we use copper vessels in pujas?

Gold, silver and copper are considered pure elements. It is believed that these metals can never be impure. Even yantra used in puja's are made of these metals.
Gold and silver are costlier as compared to copper. It is believed that drinking water kept in the copper vessel boosts our immunity. This is why one should use water kept in copper vessel to rinse before any puja. It is believed that this will help get rid of any kind of illness and improves blood circulation.
It is believed that this even improves concentration and helps us focus more on puja. Iron, steel and aluminium are considered impure metals. Hence, vessels made of these metals are not used in religious purpose.
